Laboratory Equipment:

Digital Micrometer:
A precise gauging method. The digital micrometer is used to measure the average thickness of the film and the thickness deviations (maximum, minimum and STD). The measurements are carried each 5-7 cm widthwise the film. At the end of the measurements, the data is printed.
FTIR Device:
This method is used to analyze the UV stabilizers type and percentage in the film. Also, the FTIR is used to measure the film thermicity according to the local and international standards.
UV-VIS Device:
The UV-VIS is used to measure the total light transmission in PAR range (400-700nm) and the total light diffusion. Also, the UV-VIS is used to measure the UV light blocking in Anti-Virus films.
This device used for testing the light transmission, in both the visible spectrum and the ultra violet (UV) range. Also, It is used for testing the blocking of the UV range (anti virus sheets).
Elongation and Strength extensometer:
The Extensometer is used to measure the maximum load need to film break and the film strain at break. The specimens dimensions, test conditions and test procedure are according the international standards (ASTM, ISO). Our standard for all films is minimum 20MPa for Tensile at brake and 500% for the film strain (Elongation) at brake.
Dart Falling Impact:
This method is used to determine the energy that cause film fail under specified conditions. This energy is expressed in term of weight of the missile falling from specified high. The test is carried according to ASTM D1709-85.
QUV:
The QUV device is used to test the films durability. It includes lamps that emit an aggressive radiation in the ultra violet range (UV range), to simulating sun exposure in a short time.
ASH content:
Ash test is used to identify the total filler (White pigment, black pigment and diffusers) content in the film.
Ash test involves taking a known amount of sample, burning away the polymer in an air atmosphere at temperatures above 500°C, and weighing the crucible after it has been cooled to room temperature in desiccators.
Anti-fog tests chamber:
An accelerated anti-fog (anti-drip) tests greenhouse. Mainly used for R&D application for testing a new anti-fog additives and developing a long term anti-fog properties. The chamber contains a hot water bath in 500C to provide a very aggressive condition and to force the Anti-fog to "work" continuously.
Anti-fog Q.C. tests:
Test Method: To pour 60°C water in to a beaker and cover with Antifog PE Film. Record the change in film appearance. Clear film for excellent anti-fog performance and opaque small drops means for bad anti-fog performance.
Kündig:
Very accurate continuous gauging method. The Kündig is used to measure the film average thickness and thickness deviation. At the end of the measurement, a scheme with the thickness deviation can be plotted. This scheme is useful for the die adjustment.
